In the article “2 men dead after shots fired in south California at a toys r us” by the Denver post. Two men pulled guns and shot each other to death in a crowded toy store Friday after the women with them got into a fight. Scared shoppers fled but no one else was hurt. The violence erupted on Black Friday, but authorities indicated the shooting wasn't related to a shopping frenzy. Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez said the fight was not over a toy. There were handguns found by the men's bodies. He would not answer a question about whether the shooting was gang related. Witnesses Scott and Joan Barrick said they were checking out of the store when the fight began between two women. One woman suddenly started punching the other woman, who fought back. The man who was with the woman being punched pulled a gun halfway out of his pocket then shoved it back in. The other man pulled a gun and pointed it at the first man but forgot to cock it. The first man tried to run but was blocked by the line of people, then ran back toward the store's electronics section as the other man fired his gun. He said he did not see what happened to the other man. Who takes loaded weapons into a Toys R Us? I doubt it was the casual holiday shopper.

I don't think it is ok for the two men to have a gun fight while in a child store.
Joey- this is really stupid that people have to fight on the holidays. To answer your question i dont think its okay to shoot people in front of kids. Good Job~!

I thought this was a serious topic because it's not every day two men shoot at each other in toys are us because of their wives.
To answer your question I think it is definitly not okay to shoot each other I don't think it's okay any where.

Its sad that people have to kill each other over such stupid things. They probably didnt know it but they were endangering the lives of every little kid and other human being in that store.

That is a scary thought that people can be that careless. but why would two people have a gun anyway? i liked the choice of article but make sure to clarify your question.

I thought your topic was very interesting and brought a wide variety of answers from your question. I think you should elongate your topic and presentation so that more information is known to the class. You did a good job speaking to the class and not to the back of the wall. Keep it up!

Joey- You did a good job explaining this with your kind of personality, which i think was good. But you could have worked better on your question. It could have been something like : What do you think it was that would drive someone to do this is, especially in such a place. Or like " Should it be harder to get guns? But otherwise, good job.
Good topic but one thing i think you could have done better is expand on your topic more and talk a lot longer. To answer your question no its not ok to just shoot someone but if your life is threatened then you have the right.

JOhEY! This is really kind of wierd. Why would the guys have a gun in a Toys R Us? Yeah that would freak me out to be there even if I wasn't a kid. Anyways, good job on your presentation, just try to keep it longer next time.
